API v3.8 Release Notes

This version of the API shipped with Indigo 2025.2.0 - check the API Version Chart to see what version of the API is available in which Indigo versions.

  • Upgrade to Python 3.13.
  • Adds support for early distribution of new and/or updated device definitions.
  • `indigo.variable.create` is now supported via both the WebSocket and HTTP APIs. Includes full validation of variable name and value parameters.
